DEODAR CEDAR TREES MISCELLANEOUS

INTERLAND RANCH

Our original Mother/Father trees were planted in 1949 as part of a tree farm for a retiring pediatrician from Pasadena. A graduate of USC School of Medicine, this tree farm site was picked in 1949 after an exhaustive search by the USC Department of Agriculture. They wanted the right mix of soil, water, micro climate and natural beauty.

The original planted Deodar Cedars are now being used to provide the naturally grown, strongest seedlings.

Interland Ranch uses no human intervention and does not handle seedlings until they reach 8 – 10" in their natural bed under the parent tree. Only the strong survive. Then the seedlings are transplanted into 9" tree pots ready for the journey to a new home.
